TE PAEPAE

Nau mai, Haere mai and welcome to Te Paepae, the cultural heartbeat of the festival.

Come and experience maanakitanga at the cultural heart of our festival and take the opportunity to connect with te ao Māori through cultural activities that include whakairo (wood carving), Taonga Pūoro and mau raukau.

Te Paepae is also the home of WOMAD’s artist workshops giving festival goers precious insight into the creative process of musicians from all over the world.
