Frau Knotz, Aotearoa genre-defying electronica artist, weaves an extraordinary soundscape blending R&B, ambient, techno, and experimental beats into an avant-garde, cinematic experience. Her EP Nextraterrestrial invites audiences on an otherworldly journey, lauded as a retro-futuristic odyssey. Paired with a mesmerizing 3D-animated film by LA-based artist Blue Hamel, the project thrusts listeners into Frau Knotz’s visionary universe. Live on stage with local Taranaki producer Sam Johnson, Frau Knotz breaks down her creative process, sharing the raw art of music production. Half-human, half-electronically enhanced, she walks the tightrope between terror and euphoria, offering a spellbinding exploration of otherworldly sound and future visions.
