Multi-dimensional, galactic funk 5-piece Black Comet, founded by Ninja, Laughton Kora (Kora, L.A.B, Fly My Pretties), deliver a groove-based experience with powerful narratives. Also featuring Stan Bicknell on drums , Dan Antunovich on bass, Poihakena Reid on keys, sax and talkbox, and Andrew Isdale on keys, guitar and sax this ensemble is brimming with talent. Known for their dynamic live jams, high-energy and tight performances, the band vibe off each other’s musical force. Their 2022 debut EP, ‘Live @ Totara Street,’ with band friend Tiki Taane, gave the audience a taste of what to expect in their live performances. In October 2024, they released their first album, ‘Episode 1: Looking For a New Planet,’ boldy pushing the boundaries of modern music.
